Troop 591 Recognized as “Edwin’s Troop of the Week”

Troop 591 of Westford, MA was recognized as this past week’s winner of “Edwin’s Troop of the Week” by the Sandy Beach Camp staff at Yawgoog Scout Reservation. The Troop of the Week award is given to that Troop that exemplifies the Scout spirit at camp and contributes to a positive camp experience for all campers.

Although it was Troop 591′s first year camping at Yawgoog, the Scouts were soon singing the camp songs and shouting the cheers. Hundreds of “pickle pins” were handed out by Troop 591 Scouts as a way to introduce themselves and make new friends. The Troop hosted a Root Beer Float Night in camp attended by campers from the neighboring sites as well as some of the staff.

It sometimes seems like we do some crazy stuff, but at the end of the week we had met a lot of new friends and had a fabulous week at camp.
